Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, David J. Nicholas Jr. is a purpose-driven entrepreneur, visionary strategist, and advocate for community upliftment. With over 18 years of experience in hospitality, IT support, and transportation operations, David has built a reputation rooted in service, structure, and social impact.

David launched Nicholas Company LLC with a single, unshakable goal: to create meaningful opportunities for underserved populations—starting with the homeless and unemployed. His belief in second chances and structured support systems led to the founding of Nova Shelter Initiative (NSI), a national nonprofit housing program providing both emergency shelter and permanent tiny home communities across the United States.

David’s leadership spans multiple industries. Through Nicholas Company’s five divisions, he oversees a diversified portfolio of real estate developments, resort brands, waste management innovations, and government service contracts. Whether managing high-volume resort operations or designing transitional housing blueprints, David brings a personal touch to each initiative—anchored by his desire to leave a lasting legacy of dignity, care, and opportunity.
